“Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” While on the cross, Jesus cried out, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” Jesus suffered extreme physical pain, but worse than this, was the separation of God. We should be separated from God. We should have been on the cross. But Jesus took our place. He became our substitute. What mind-boggling love our Father has for us to send his son to die in our place. Pastor Chuck talked about what this teaches us and what our response should be.
